Bright colours and strong prints come together in a crescendo of patchwork with a 70s mood, where many small scraps of fabric become a unique style statement.

Sicily, patchwork, heritage, handmade, re-use. These are the key words that flash in the hall and on the screens of those who have gathered from afar to celebrate the rite of the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show for Spring-Summer 2021. Insiders smile at the dilated times, the sumptuous castings, the phenomenal final glance, with the models all lined up together, albeit at an appropriate distance, which transform each show by the two designers into a glowing secular mass. And they let themselves be overwhelmed by a wave of colours, prints and decorations all sewn together, because for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana the idea of building an entire collection in a patchwork key goes beyond style. In those jackets with important lapels, in the sensual culottes, in the dresses made to perfection and in the more light-hearted jeans, as in the rustling shirts, there is the desire to create something new, putting together the energies of everyone. And at the same time to celebrate one's roots, a vivid Sicilianity that has always been a symbol of the brand. In the end Domenico and Stefano go out to receive applause wearing equally lively masks and that is the most beautiful message: let's all take care of each other.
