Haute Couture SS19: Chanel

In the villa of Karl Lagerfeld

A dip in the summer in the Riviera, a walk by the pool of a Mediterranean villa, a garden party of yesteryear.

The Chanel Haute Couture Spring Summer 2019 fashion show is characterized by well-defined lines inspired by the 18th century, an era dear to Karl Lagerfeld, feathers, and lots of "broderie". The colors are soft pastel shades, but white is the true hue of summer.

The styles are many, the inspiration travels from 700 to the 80's, necklines typical of other eras meet the satin bomber jackets and maxi sleeves.

The bride is Vittoria Ceretti, Italian supermodel, and wears a swimsuit covered with crystals and a kilometer veil, to emphasize the summer mood.

Karl Lagerfeld seems too tired to close the show.
