Last autumn, well-known industry website the Business of Fashion announced a prestigious new fashion prize, aimed at supporting new designers in China.
The new award is called the BoF China Prize and the Business of Fashion IS collaborating with Chinese entrepreneur and businesswoman Wendy Yu on the new project.
Today, the six finalists for the inaugural event were announced by the Business of Fashion. All of the names announced on the list are recent graduates and include the young entrepreneurs behind the labels Caroline Hu, Shuting Qiu, Xu Zhi, Staffonly, Pronounce, and PH5.
The lucky winner will walk away with $100,000 to invest in their business as well as a platform at the next London Fashion Week. The BoF judging panel includes big industry names, including fashion designer Victoria Beckham and popular fashion blogger Susie Lau.
2019 is the first year in history that China has overtaken the US as the largest fashion market in the world.
