In just a few week's time, the city's popular culture and lifestyle festival Sole DXB is set to return. To kick off the celebrations Adidas Originals has announced they will be unveiling a limited piece collection at this year's festival. Inspired by Jamaican culture, the new pieces are inspired by the island, and in particular, a trip made by the Adidas Originals team earlier this year to the sunny isle. For more information, check out the Collection Notes and the gallery below.
Collection Notes from the announcement:
"The capsule collection features classic Adidas Originals apparel pieces, including a blue tracksuit top with the words ‘Negril, Jamaica’ on the back. Referencing the colours of Negril’s endless sandy beaches, shallow bays and calm turquoise waters, a classic Adidas blue colour-way is paired with the iconic Jamaican yellow text. The tracksuit also features a custom Adidas Originals trefoil logo in the iconic green, yellow & red of the country’s flag. A black tracksuit top featuring ‘Kingston, Jamaica’ references the more urban, city life of Jamaica’s capital. The collection features two graphic print t-shirts. One black t-shirt, featuring an image of a boy on a BMX, shot in Tivoli Gardens by Maxwell Aurelien James. Tivoli is one of Kingston’s most vibrant and notorious neighbourhoods. The second, on white, was an image taken at Notting Hill Carnival by Farel Bisotto, a nod to the deep connection between British and Jamaican subcultures."
The customised Adidas Originals collection will be produced in limited quantities and will only be available at the Adidas Originals space during Sole DXB on the 6th and 7th December 2019 starting from AED 162 up to AED 450.
