Clare Waight Keller understands exactly what the modern woman on the go needs (and wants). After all, she’s one of the busiest in the business: her weekly commute involves shuttling between London, Paris, and wherever else Givenchy might need her to be. With that in mind, she has created what looks to be Givenchy’s next It bag – the fuss-free yet fashionable Bond bag.
Part of Givenchy’s Resort 2020 collection, the Bond takes shape as an oversized tote, spacious enough to fit in practically everything you might wish to carry, and smart enough to take you from day to night. It’s so named for the stud buttons on the sides, which hold the piece together. Engraved with the Givenchy’s 4G motif, the buttons match those scattered liberally over the collection’s ready-to-wear options.
Designed with a focus on practicality, the snap buttons can be unfastened for the bag to be folded flat, so you can carry it as a spare without any bother. The straps are long enough to sling over your shoulder if you want to go hands-free, and there’s also a removable inner pouch for extra storage space. The Bond comes in medium and large sizes, and is available in solid black, blue, or aubergine embossed leather, ecru canvas with bold lettering, and chain-printed jacquard, to suit whatever your mood may be.
