Chanel Says No To Exotic Skins

The French fashion house vow to use more sustainable fabrics in their designs

Chanel has just announced that it will not use any more exotic skins to manufacture its products. In an interview with "WWD", Bruno Pavlovsky, fashion president of the French brand, said that crocodile skins, lizards, snakes and rays will be replaced by other materials with less environmental impact.

The label follows in the footsteps of other international labels such as Versace, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein and Gucci who also abolished the use of fur in their collections.

Bravo Chanel - here's hoping many other fashion labels will follow suit!
