After investing the Grand Palais last May, Chanel will present its next cruise collection on the Italian island. When Gabrielle Chanel designed her collections in the 1920s, they were intended for wealthy customers who, travelling to sunny destinations such as the Riviera or the beaches of the Lido in Venice, needed lightweight pieces that were more suitable for yachting or seaside resorts.
This is the first time that the French company has organised its cruise parade abroad since 2016, when the collection was presented on the streets of Cuba. Since then, Chanel had settled in the Grand Palais with memorable sets such as Mount Olympus in 2017, a replica of a liner in 2018, and the ultra couture station in 2019.
Blue sky, crystal clear water and romanticism, the destination of this 2021 cruise collection designed by Virginie Viard will certainly be a magnificent show for guests. Stay tuned!
