Fashion house Chloé announced the 2019 winner of The Chloé Prize at the Festival d’Hyères this week. The prestigious prize went to emerging designer Tina Schwizgebel-Wang at the 34th anniversary of the festival.
It's the 7th consecutive year that Chloé has presented the prize at the festival, and according to a spokesperson for the house, the prize aims to support "emerging designers who represent the future of creation within the global industry."
The annual prize includes €20,000 (AED 82,500) to support the creativity of new designers, according to Chloe, Swiss designer Schwizgebel-Wang was picked due to her design which "asserted a fresh interpretation of the Maison free-spirited expression."
Schwizgebel-Wang is a multi-media designer and her body of work also includes ink drawings.
