Coach's mascot Rexy gets pumped up with Rexy Remix collection

China-based contemporary artists reimagine Rexy the Coach Dino for the label's Pre Fall 2019 collection.

First spotted on the runway of Coach's Pre Fall fashion show in Shanghai, the Rexy Remix collection is finally hitting stores worldwide and we are in love!

The funky new collection comes with a range of ready-to-wear, accessories and several silhouettes of bags that features the mascot Rexy the Coach Dino, who is reimagined by four China-based artists into various forms.

As part of Coach Light Up Shanghai, the creative collab aspires to bring together the charms and energy of two metropolis – New York, the home city of Coach, and Shanghai, the capital of arts in the East.

Coach taps four contemporary artists from diverse fields – sculptor Sui Jianguo, contemporary ink painter Zhu Jingyi, graphic artist Guang Yu and music collective Yeti Out – to reinterpret its most beloved mascot Rexy, and the results turn out to be a kinetic remix of creativity and culture.

We see Sui Jianguo's sculpture of a dino rendered onto the apparels whilst Zhu Jingyi's ink painted Rexy collide with the classic monogram.
