F stands for family and Silvia Venturini Fendi knows it well. In 1999 she joined the creative direction of Fendi, alongside the historic creative director of the maison Karl Lagerfeld as artistic director of accessories, creating iconic bags such as the Baguette, the Spy, the B Fendi, the Silvana and, above all, the Peekaboo. In 2001 she also became responsible for menswear and the children's line and since 2019 she has been the creative director of Fendi, after Karl Lagerfeld's death. The Spring Summer 2021 collection, which will be presented live today during Milan Fashion Week, will be the last to feature Silvia Venturini Fendi as the sole creative director. In fact, Karl Lagerfel's legacy will be taken up by British designer Kim Jones, who will be in charge of haute couture, ready-to-wear and women's fur collections, while Silvia Venturini Fendi will continue in the Creative Direction of menswear and women's accessories.
Without a doubt Silvia Venturini Fendi has marked an era for the fashion house. For this reason, here is a collection of the best moments of her career.
