Italian fashion house Giambattista Valli announced a collaboration with high street fashion store H&M at the Cannes Film Festival this Thursday.
Following in the footsteps of other brands such as Ricardo Ticci's Burberry, Giambattista Valli and H&M’s Creative Advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson anchored the announcement to a quick role out on social media platform Instagram. World-leading fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni (with more than 16.6 million followers on Instagram) and model Kendall Jenner ( with over 111m followers on Instagram) were picked to front the campaign along with several other key figures including Chris Lee (Li Yuchun), H.E.R., Bianca Brandolini d’Adda and Ross Lynch.
The announcement was made by the group arriving together at the mfAR gala at Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, wearing designs from the collection, quickly followed by the group posting on their channels as well as the announcement that the collection would be available just two days later at 15 select H&M stores around the world.
“I am excited about this collaboration, H&M gives me the opportunity to bring my vision of style and my celebration of beauty to a wider audience. The goal is to share my love for beauty and to be able to be part of everyone’s “happy moments", to help create love stories all around the world." Giambattista Valli, the man behind the eponymous label told L'Officiel Arabia.
