Starting this week, British womenswear label Hillier Bartley are taking over London’s hottest new event space, 5 Carlos Place, with the launch of their SS19 collection and pieces exclusive to

The World of Hillier Bartley celebrates objects and motifs most loved by the brand’s designers, Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley, including handcrafted products from long-established London legends James Street hatters Lock & Co. and British shoemakers Crockett and Jones, showcased amongst Monty Python’s Ministry of Silly Walks, traditional British pub quizzes and Dakis Panayiotou's beautifully obscure furniture. Boasting an ultimate Asprey darts board, commissioned by Hillier Bartley, customers are able to purchase exclusive Hiller Bartley darts from the 5 Carlos Place vending machine, as well as the luxury wearable versions from the brand’s jewellery collections.

The curated installation features alongside the Hillier Bartley Spring Summer 19 Collection - a collection devoted to the exploration of men’s tailoring made feminine. Playing off a mix of high and low British influences, the colour palette of the collection and the exclusive pieces designed for MATCHESFASHION.COM take their cues from British pub pastimes, from the favourite metallics of darts player’s shirts to the burgundy, red and racing green leathers taken from traditional board games. There’s also the chance to snap up styles from the brand’s collaboration with streetwear brand, Aries.

“When we were approached to take over 5 Carlos Place, we jumped at the opportunity to create a Hillier Bartley world within the ravishing building site” revealed Luella.

“The heritage and features of this vast, labyrinthine Georgian townhouse resonated with us as a stoic and beautiful setting for the launch of the Hillier Bartley Spring 2019 collection,’ added Katie. ‘The history and location of the townhouse compliments the traditional, louche, and bespoke experience of the Hillier Bartley brand, and gives our very British weirdness and irreverence a solid and lavish foundation in which to play.”

The World of Hillier Bartley is out now, with the SS19 Collection available to purchase on MATCHESFASHION.COM
