“A new aesthetic, a new era” – that was the promise Riccardo Tisci made when he took the helm of Burberry and hot off 2019, he has proven to us that he is going strong with his new aesthetics.
Debuting his first major campaign for Burberry, Riccardo calls upon six collaborators to bring to life his vision and theme for the brand and campaign – inclusivity.
And thus it began with six outstanding photographers – Nick Knight, Danko Steiner, Hugo Comte, Colin Dodgson, Peter Langer and Letty Schmiterlow –, who are summoned to shoot some of the most legendary models and rising stars of our time including Natalia Vodianova, Stella Tennant, Claudia Lavender, Irina Shayk, Sora Choi, Anok Yai and Joe Plunkett.
On this new campaign, Riccardo says, "The thing that excites me the most about Burberry is how inclusive it is – it appeals to everyone no matter their age, their social standing, their race, their gender.
"I pulled together six photographers, all with a very different energy, experience and point of view of the world – including British masters of photography and the next generation who have something new to say – to interpret this new Burberry era and the multigenerational men and women we speak to, all through their own unique eyes.”
