Ever since Alessandra Facchinetti departed Tod’s and the house decided to hand over design duties to a studio team instead of another creative director, the brand has doubled down on the timeless classics that set it apart from all the other leather houses chasing trends.

This season, that commitment to Italian elegance feels even more pronounced.

In Tod’s books, elegance is a quality founded on unique know-how and refined by its Italian approach to style which places emphasis on the little details and how things are made. In their hands, sophistication doesn’t have to be stiff or starched but can be shot through with an attitude of nonchalance.

The accessories this season are, as usual, crafted from the finest materials but characterised by a sense of ease and spontaneity. Among the highlights is the saddle-shaped crossbody.

It is a shape that evokes a carefree, bohemian spirit, but Tod’s has elevated it with supple skins coloured in subtle but standout shades of blush and burgundy, with smooth gold hardware lending a luxurious finish.
