Timeless Essentials - BLAZÉ MILANO

Being one of the oldest and most rigorous uniforms of all time, born in Britain in the early nineteenth century, the blazer is universally recognized as a chief symbol of elegance, yet still easy to adapt according to the occasion.

This great classic is the reason for BLAZÉ MILANO, brand designed and carried out by three Italian fashion editors, Corrada Rodriguez D’Acri, Delfina Pinardi and Maria Sole Torlonia, all three of them lovers of this garment, so discreet, and yet so nonchalant and sophisticated; so iconic, but adaptable to infinite interpretations. Fascinated by its long history and the many interpretations that have been dreamed up, they have designed a garment that combines the elegance of the exterior with the functionality of its interior. The four pockets positioned in the lining are conceived to contain everything that usually goes into a pochette, "freeing" the woman from the need to wear a clutch or small purse, without altering the line of the garment. A need born of the “modus vivendi” from the trio, who unanimously loves this boyish concept.

“Every cool girl is half a boy,” is what they say.

Blazé Milano proves there is a merit in doing one thing, and doing it right. The brand offers a modern take on one of fashion’s most enduring silhouettes - the blazer. Thanks to a philosophy that interprets the most authentic “Made in Italy” as a way of being, each piece is handmade in Italy, representing a timeless design refreshed with functionality. Its signature tailored blazer is a chic, everyday essential.

As Delfina in one interview said: “All three of us are lovers of this garment. They are discreet and so iconic, but adaptable to infinite interpretations. We chose the blazer because it is the garment you can wear on top of any silhouette. It is a timeless piece that you can make in a million of fabrics, creating so many different styles.”

BLAZÉ collections consist of eleven iconic models. From the EVERYDAY BLAZER for a working woman who needs to be ever elegant but dégagé at the same time; through the single-breasted version, the casual chic WEEKEND BLAZER suitable for a stroll in the country, a regatta or a drink at the yacht club; the MIDNIGHT SMOKING perfect for any after-dark event, or the BALLROOM BLAZER - a hybrid between a duster and an evening dress; each fabric bears the name of a vintage sailing boat or a horse that has made history, as a tribute to the great passions of the three girls: horseback riding and sailing.

There are many muses whose style and life inspire BLAZÉ collections. Each one of them is a strong woman with incredible style and attitude. Designers usually connect to her world and the art, architecture, and interiors. From Loulou de La Falaise, who drew them towards the interiors of the YSL home in Marrakech; Bianca Jagger wearing a smoking tuxedo to her wedding in St.Tropez; Katherine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall representing the Art Nouveau deco world; to Diana Spencer with her '90s fashion and color.

The charming and fascinating trip of the Orient Express meets a modern and elegant sophistication of BLAZÉ MILANO FW 19/20 collection. From the sparkling Paris to the alluring Istanbul, where the western and eastern worlds meet in an intriguing cultural métissage, the brand's iconic woman collects references and inspirations to inject an exciting, nomadic twist into her urban wardrobe. Vintage references are combined with a modern, practical approach in the lineup, where BLAZÉ MILANO debuts a range of new styles.

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” - Jawaharlal Nehru

Corrada, Delfina and Sole met through Elle Italia, they share a passion for styling, research and continuous innovation; shootings with international photographers, working with the creations of the most important designers, collaborating with the most prestigious fashion houses and the most authoritative magazines.

In their dialogue between innovation and tradition, the research of fabrics has one clear purpose: to evoke the elegance of the past without being trapped in it. With rigorous materials created by the greatest weavers in Europe, and with “Made in Italy” superiority that everyone envies, BLAZÉ MILANO is a true 24/7.
