For those who love action, The Boys and Jack Ryan will fulfill all your thrill-seeking needs. Called “the best superhero show on TV” The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Whereas Jack Ryan sees much-loved John Krasinski portray agent Ryan who is tasked with going to South America to investigate a far-reaching conspiracy. The investigation leads to the Venezuelan President launching a counterattack which hits too close to home and triggers a mission that spans the UK, US, Russia and Venezuela.

Feel the love with Prime Video’s Modern Love; inspired by the popular New York Times column of the same name the series explores what love is in all forms – complicated, beautiful and messy. Each episode stands alone with its own story to tell and brings together some of the finest cast in Hollywood such as Dev Patel, Anne Hathaway, John Slattery, Andy Garcia and Julia Garner. Additionally, Four Shots Please and Made in Heaven are fan-favourites as they tackle topics such as love, marriage and familial ties against the deep-rooted traditions and beliefs of the Indian culture.

The sports lover is bound to be glued to their screen as they indulge in shows like El Corzaon de Sergio Ramos, which focuses on the meteoric rise of Ramos from his beginnings in Seville through to his leadership of the Spanish national team and the infamous Real Madrid football club. And that’s not all cricket fans would relish in Death of a Gentleman which focuses on the decline of test cricket formats in favour of a shorter and crisper T-20. Not to exclude English Premier league fanatics, Prime Video offers shows such as Inside Borussia Dortmund, All or Nothing: Manchester City and Take Us Home: Leeds United which allow a closer look into how the players deal with matches, public pressure to perform and the toll exerted on their personal lives by the game.

Those who can tell their James Wan from their Wes Craven would enjoy the riot and anarchy associated with The Purge where annually all crime is legalised in the United States of America for a single day. Those who loved William Peter Blatty’s novel of the same name would enjoy the modern rendition of The Exorcist. We can’t guarantee no jump scares though! Examine a killer by examining his personal life and relationships in Bates Motel, inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s insanely famous horror film, Psycho.

Finally, entertain yourself with some chuckles and bursts of laughter with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag; devilishly good and intelligent the show focuses on Waller-Bridge’s character as she tries to navigate love and life in London and deal with grief simultaneously. Viewers will also rejoice in ill-tempered Dr.House as he solves and saves patients from life-threatening illnesses in House.
