Coachella 2019 might be just around the corner but we’ve barely recovered from Beyoncé’s legendary performance at last year’s installment of the festival. Whether you were amongst the lucky festival-goers in attendance and looking to relive the experience, or you’re just sick of the FOMO from not being there, Netflix may have just answered your prayers. Netflix has been teasing a new documentary about Bey’s performance titled Homecoming. The special is slated to premiere on April 17th.
A 90-second trailer for the film shows behind-the-scenes access to the performance, showing her dancers preparing, rehearsal footage and some intimate shots of the singer’s family, all while a Maya Angelou voiceover resonates throughout. The trailer also features some of the key moments of Beychella, like sister Solange’s and Jay Z’s appearance, as well as the mini Destiny’s Child reunion that dazzled the crowd.
