There’s a serious BUZZ around the French house’s pop-up at this weekend’s coolest fashion festival

One of just four special pop-up stores around the world, Kim Jones’s Dior Men’s SS2019 Collection and Capsule Boy Collection by Baby Dior will be presented for the first time in Dubai this weekend at SOLEDXB

And the star guest at these exclusive pop-ups? A XXL version of an original house of Dior icon – the bee – reinvented by New York artists KAWS, flying high above Dior’s vast, three-level store with its super-cool lounge bar and sneaker wall.

Joining Tokyo Isetan, London Dover Street Market and La Maxfield Los Angeles, Dior’s pop up at SOLEDXB evokes the set of the Summer 2019 men’s show, Kim’s first for Dior. Each of the four pop-ups offers its own unique take on the show, with Dubai boasting giant, twelve-metre high bees illuminating the space indoors and out. On the front, the illuminated Dior logo with its exaggerated proportions, as reinterpreted by the NewYork artist, nods to the creative world of graffiti, while that iconic House signature, the DiorOblique canvas, gets a dose of transparency.




Launching simultaneously, the Capsule Boy collection by Cordelia de Castellane, Creative Director of Baby Dior, reprises some of the symbols redesigned by the artist KAWS. The bee and the Christian Diorname appear in navy blue on white t-shirts, sweaters and polo shirts.
